Repairs, resizing, restringing, valuations and currency, all handled on the premises at Hove by people who have been doing it for decades. Nothing is posted off to a stranger in another county.

Most of what arrives at our bench is not broken beyond repair. It is a worn claw, a thin shank, a tired clasp or a snapped link. The pieces people give up on are usually the ones worth keeping.

Batteries
Fitted and pressure tested, with the seal checked and replaced where it needs it. Usually while you wait.
Straps & bracelets
Leather, rubber, steel and mesh. Links added or removed and sized to your wrist on the spot.
Glass & crystal
Scratched or cracked mineral and sapphire crystals replaced, bezels refitted, cases refinished.
Movement servicing
Mechanical and automatic movements stripped, cleaned, lubricated, regulated and timed.
We work on everything from a high street quartz to a vintage automatic. If a piece needs a specialist that we are not, we will tell you so rather than take the job.
Valuations
For insurance, for probate, for peace of mind.
A written valuation by a registered valuer, itemised, photographed and produced to a standard your insurer or the probate office will accept without argument.
Insurance
Replacement value for a modern equivalent, the figure your insurer needs to settle a claim properly.
Probate
Fair market value at the date of death, prepared for executors and accepted by HMRC.

An independent, defensible figure when assets have to be split and agreed between parties.

A simple written record of what you own, useful long before anyone ever needs it.
Valuations are chargeable and quoted before we begin. A verbal indication of what something is worth, over the counter, is always free.

No commission. Ever.
Holiday money over the counter at rates worth walking past the airport for. Euros and dollars almost always in stock, and most other currencies with a day's notice.
