The shop
Bought properly.
Sold sensibly.
Every piece in our window came through our own door and was checked in our own workshop. Certificated diamonds, serviced luxury watches and secondhand fine jewellery, at a fraction of what the same thing costs new.
Why secondhand is the smart buy
The same stone. Without the first owner's depreciation.
A diamond does not know how many times it has been sold. Nor does an 18ct setting, or a Swiss movement. What changes is the price, and most of that drop happens the moment a piece leaves a retail counter for the first time.
We buy at trade, we check everything in our own workshop, and we price to sell rather than to impress. The result is that a great many customers walk out with a better stone, a better setting or a better watch than they came in expecting to afford.
- Diamonds graded on the premises, certificates supplied where they exist
- Watches serviced, timed and pressure tested before they go in the case
- Twelve month guarantee on every watch we sell
- Resizing and adjustment done in house, usually while you wait
- Exclusive designs by Douglas Newman, made on the premises
In the cabinets
What tends to be in.
Stock changes constantly, because it depends entirely on what comes through the door. Call the shop and tell us what you are hunting for. If it is not in Hove, it may be in one of the other five.
