The shop

Bought properly.
Sold sensibly.

Every piece in our window came through our own door and was checked in our own workshop. Certificated diamonds, serviced luxury watches and secondhand fine jewellery, at a fraction of what the same thing costs new.

Certificated DiamondsSolitaires, trilogies and loose stones, GIA and IGI graded, from around £600
Authenticated Luxury watchesServiced, timed, pressure tested and guaranteed for twelve months
Hallmarked Gold & chains9ct to 22ct, curb, rope, Figaro and Belcher, priced by weight

Why secondhand is the smart buy

The same stone. Without the first owner's depreciation.

A diamond does not know how many times it has been sold. Nor does an 18ct setting, or a Swiss movement. What changes is the price, and most of that drop happens the moment a piece leaves a retail counter for the first time.

We buy at trade, we check everything in our own workshop, and we price to sell rather than to impress. The result is that a great many customers walk out with a better stone, a better setting or a better watch than they came in expecting to afford.

  • Diamonds graded on the premises, certificates supplied where they exist
  • Watches serviced, timed and pressure tested before they go in the case
  • Twelve month guarantee on every watch we sell
  • Resizing and adjustment done in house, usually while you wait
  • Exclusive designs by Douglas Newman, made on the premises

Buying, answered

Straight answers.

Not yet. Everything is one of a kind, so we would rather you saw the actual piece under proper light before you commit. Call us, tell us what you are after, and we will hold it for you to view.
Every watch we sell carries a twelve month guarantee, and each one is serviced, timed and pressure tested in our own workshop before it goes into the case.
In most cases yes, in our own workshop, and often while you wait. We will tell you before you buy if a particular setting cannot safely be sized.
Yes. We are buying all day anyway, so trading something in against a purchase is straightforward. We will give you the buying figure and the difference in writing.
Many are, and where a stone came to us without paperwork our registered valuers grade it on the premises. You will always be told exactly what you are buying.

Bring it in. We will tell you
exactly what it is worth.
